This original work depicts the patina of an industrial relic, on the natural element metal. Trompe l’oeil illusion (fool the eye) techniques were employed to make this piece “pop” and look dimensional, when in actuality the bolts are completely flat, and merely painted on the canvas and cardboard. The dimensionality will be an ongoing source of fascination and discussion!

Infused with earth pigments, iron, plaster, mica, aluminum leaf and recycled cardboard this piece would be a lovely addition to rustic or industrial interior design.
