Do you do commissions?

My hope is that one of my paintings or prints speaks to you. whether it’s something I’ve already created, or a piece I create just for you, let’s work on getting you what you’re looking for. Of course, there is a limit to the number of custom pieces I can do, but if I’m able to do it, I would be happy to do so. Sometimes, an existing piece can be adjusted (Perhaps a shift in color, to make it work with your decor), at other times, a fully customized painting is the answer, in either case, please don’t hesitate to reach out, and let’s discuss the possibilities. Where Can I Buy An Original Painting?

Please click on the “Originals” link to view available original pieces or to see information about upcoming collection releases. If you don’t see anything there that is suitable, please feel free to contact me directly to discuss upcoming collections, a Bespoke Lorton Original, or pieces currently on exhibit. I’ll happily send high resolution images of artwork including dimensions, cost, and shipping details. Every few months I create and release a collection of work, including original work.  This will be well advertised before hand via social media, on my blog, and I offer a preview to those on the Lorton Insider’s mailing list.
Originals will be available here.

Do you sign all your work?

Yes, all original pieces of art are hand signed on the front, typically the lower right hand corner, with the title and date on the back of the painting. Most prints include my signature as part of the print.

Do I ship Internationally?

Yes, I do! I have collectors all over the world. Due to the high costs associated with shipping, I ask collectors, of original art, to contact me, prior to purchasing, in order to discuss shipping options and associated costs. Please note: any additional customs and/or duty charges are the responsibility of the buyer to pay upon receipt of the artwork. Prints can also be shipped internationally, please see individual listings for all the details.

How do you ship?

The answer is - VERY CAREFULLY! All original paintings are wrapped in paper, padded extremely well, packaged carefully and sent in sturdy cardboard shipping boxes, artist grade tubes, or in sturdy no-bend cardboard mailers, whichever container is most appropriate, and safest, to ship your artwork. I have partnered with Simply Framed, to be able to offer you framed and unframed quality prints, in a variety of sizes. Artwork will be printed on demand, and carefully packed by simply framed (see individual listing for full details).

Do I donate work to charitable organizations?

Yes, I do. I reserve a couple of pieces each year for charitable donations. Please email me to discuss your fundraising needs.

Do I collaborate with fellow artists, retailers, etc.?

Yes, I love collaborations! Simply email me at info@jenniferlortonart.com to discuss your idea/proposal. I’ll look forward to working with you!

who owns the rights?

I retain all rights to all artwork I create. This includes the rights to the image of sold & commissioned original paintings. I retain the right to make REPRODUCTIONS OF ANY AND ALL ARTWORK I CREATE UNLESS THE COLLECTOR HAS PURCHASED THE FULL OR PARTIAL RIGHTS TO THE ARTWORK (this is in addition to purchasing the original).  The Collector, or buyer, may not reproduce the artwork in any way without written permission.

If the artwork is reproduced in a magazine or other media I ask to please be given credit.

When you purchase an original painting, you, the collector, have the right to display the artwork in your home or business, but the artwork may not be reproduced without my written permission.

Please let me know if you have any questions, or if you are interested in purchasing full or partial rights to your painting.  Some collectors choose to purchase my rights to reproduce the artwork to ensure it will never become a print.  I am happy to discuss that option with you.
